About the event
INTERSECTIONS: Caste, Gender, and Sexuality Reading Group!!! Group Description: Whether we recognize it or not, caste violence is woven the very fabric of South Asian life, at times in very subtle and insidious ways. All of our identities, including our queerness, are informed by caste-based privilege or oppression. Therefore, we must deal with the complicated intersections of caste, gender and sexuality to understand our own position better, and to join forces to abolish caste in South Asia and its diaspora.
